One of the new DJs to the city. His love for all things soul is built on the foundations of his ‘old mans’ 45s.

Having a strong collection of rare and exciting soul, anything goes from classic Detroit to funky Memphis.

Chuffin_nora is a regular at Binks Yard.

 

Tommy K

This Upbeat Nottingham DJ has performed all over the UK, Europe and Australia including Glastonbury and Outlook.

Expect eclectic sounds for the summertime whether that be soul funk or disco.

 

DJ Danny James 

Funk / soul / disco 

Playing upbeat funk and soul, original Hip hop samples and classic tracks!

Danny has been DJing since the 90s, with styles from original vinyl hiphop through to funky house and all areas of soul.

DJ Danny James is also our Binks Resident Thursday Soul Vinyl only DJ Host!

 

DJ Shozza 

Northern soul / Motown / funk / 80s soul / disco 

DJ Shozza is a huge Northern Soul lover with great knowledge and love for the scene. He has 20 years of playing the best in Motown and Northern soul, and his Vinyl collection stretches across many styles!

 

DJ Danny Gee

The new kid on the block.

Having always loved soul and Motown, Danny’s Vinyl collecting and DJing has been recent.

He’s a lover of all popular and classic soul and Motown, and his first ever DJ set was at Binks this year!

 

DJ Expression

Having been part of the Notts music scene through running record stores and DJing for 30 years now, he has graced the decks of many of Nottingham’s intitutions, including Marcus Garvey, the Bomb and also regular appearances at Binks yard Soul Thursdays.

 

DJ Carl Kold Chillin

Hip hop / disco / funk / soul 

DJ Carl Kold Chillin is a talented Nottingham DJ, playing regularly at many Notts venues, and is resident vinyl hip hop DJ at Saturday Kemet FM! He’s a Hip Hop mastermind with a strong soul funk background!

Daddy Bones, Mr Vinyl man himself. Having a love for all things vinyl including manufacturing as well as collecting.

DJ Bones has huge variety of vinyl from obscure to rare finds… with Bones you never know what he’s going to drop on the decks.

 

DJ Alfie Rowley 

The Youngest of the crew. With influences from his peers, Alfie has always been a soul man.

1 part @departmentfordance, he has a great love for 70s and 80s disco, afro boogie and soul!

Playing a lot of the modern soul and disco, this modern style still hints the classic sounds.
